Knot’ by Nikki and JD
Award-Winning Physical Circus Show in Dorset for One Night Only
Sun 29 September, 7:30pm. Gillingham School Hall. 01747 833844
Physically exhilarating and touchingly poignant, Knot is the internationally acclaimed circus-dance show by Nikki Rummer and JD Broussé. Following a month long run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this outstanding duo are set to perform just once in Dorset this autumn through Artsreach, the counties touring arts charity.
Two acrobats meet. They fall in love and dream of the future. But beneath the surface, there lies a truth that threatens to undermine their bond. Heart-breaking yet humorous, Knot is the story of a very modern affair told sensitively through breath-taking acrobatics, hand-to-hand circus skills and dance.
Created in collaboration with award-winning choreographer Ben Duke of Lost Dog Dance Company, Knot is a finely crafted theatrical journey, which received both a Herald Angel Award and a Total Theatre & Jacksons Lane Award for Circus at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Knot was also shortlisted for the 2019 Best of Edinburgh Award.
With funding from Dorset Council and Arts Council England, plus the support of local solicitors Blanchards Bailey, this exciting and poignant new show tours to Dorset for one night only through Artsreach.
See ‘Knot’ at Gillingham School on Sunday 29 September. Full details and tickets are also available from 01747 833844 or online at artsreach.co.uk
