Attention all owners of small or medium sized businesses in the Gillingham area. If you want your business to grow and develop with the help of private, affordable support that is proven to be effective, then attend ‘A Taste of Mentoring’.
This is a free, informal event being run by Dorset Business Mentors at the Guild of Fine Food, Kingsmead Business Park, Shaftesbury Road, Gillingham, SP8 5FB at 5.30-7.30pm on Monday, 4th November.
Half of all mentees report improvements to turnover of 20 percent as a result of their mentoring, however a mentor will also help their mentee develop the skills and confidence they need to realise opportunities and goals, and to overcome any challenges they face.
The opportunity is presented to hear about the benefits and process of mentoring, and to hear from Michael Stoate about his experience of having the support of Dorset Business Mentor Chris Hall since 2014. Michael is the 5th generation owner of N. R. Stoate & Sons which produces a comprehensive range of stoneground flours and is located at Cann Mills near Shaftesbury (stoatesflour.co.uk).
Spaces are limited to 12 in the interest of participants and early booking is recommended. Register now at Eventbrite. Search DORMEN or browse https://www.eventbrite.com/e/discover-how-having-a-dorset-business-mentor-will-help-you-grow-your-business-tickets-72517053459
*Founded in 2005 Dorset Business Mentors is one of the UK’s most established programmes in the UK, experienced at effectively matching the scope of expertise among more than 120 successful entrepreneurs and Executive-level Mentors across Dorset to the needs of individual businesses.
To access 1:1 mentoring and the range of services offered by Dorset Business Mentors costs only £200 for 12 months, thanks to funding from the Dorset Councils, the ERDF, and Mentors sharing their time and experience as professional, trained volunteers.
Mentors provide invaluable space to step back from the day-to-day, to review how things are going and provide targeted support. They provide an objective sounding board in an encouraging and open relationship and will help guide and contribute fresh experienced thinking to the development of strategies, helping business owners through decision making, and to identify and overcome any challenges.
