A Grade II Listed former rectory in Gillingham is for sale, with residential refurbishment expected.
The Old Rectory, situated in the town centre, comprises seven self-contained flats, offices and stores and is being marketed by Savills.
Currently undergoing works to disconnect it from more recently developed sheltered accommodation to the eastern gable, the property occupies a site area of approximately 0.3 acres and is part two and part three storey.
While no guide price is being disclosed, Savills say a sale is being targeted during this calendar year with a residential future considered most likely, subject to the necessary consent. Other potential uses mooted, and also subject to the relevant consents, include refurbishment to commercial schemes.
Vanessa Patel, associate in Savills’ Wimborne-based development team, who is handling the sale, said: ‘The availability of this former Rectory provides a unique opportunity in the town centre of Gillingham.
‘The site itself is in a fantastic position and, given its status in the community, offers a truly unique opportunity for a developer to put their stamp on the future landscape of the town. As such we anticipate strong levels of interest in this site.’
Viewing of the site is strictly by appointment and can be arranged via Savills.
