The Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset has paid a visit to North Dorset rugby club in Gillingham to see for himself how it operates.
Angus Campbell, a former leader of Dorset County Council who has been Lord-Lieutenant since 2014, visited on Sunday 12 March when the club’s junior sides were playing.
Club president Chris Brickell said: ‘It raises the profile of the club. We were thrilled to bits to have him here.’
Angus Campbell said: ‘I knew it was very popular. But I didn’t realise quite how many people use the club!’
