Following on from the success of their Autumn Talks, The Grosvenor Arms in Shaftesbury has organised Spring Talks, a programme of events on Thursday nights featuring a host of interesting speakers from the fields of psychology, travel, wildlife, fashion and nutrition. The talks begin at 7pm, and tickets are £10 and can be booked in advance here, or on the door.

The first one, on Thursday, February 13, is The Art of Rest with Claudia Hammond
Award-winning BBC broadcaster, author and psychology lecturer, Claudia Hammond (left) is the presenter of BBC Radio 4’s All in the Mind and Health Check on the World Service. A Visiting Professor at Sussex University, she is the author of several books. Her most recent ‘The Art of Rest’, examines the science behind our struggles to rest and relax. Claudia will be discussing her illuminating new book and the essential importance of rest.
