The owner of a quad bike stolen from a secure barn at Milton-on-Stour near Gillingham has made an appeal for information over the theft and the whereabouts of the vehicle.
Richard Kemmis Betty said: ‘All the indications are that this is a local theft and the quad may still be in the area or the thieves are trying to offload it.’
The two-year-old red Honda Bike was taken from the barn at Milton on the night of Monday 6 May.
The thieves broke two padlocks and cut through a reinforced chain that was securing the quad to a cemented steel post.
They also took two chainsaws and chainsaw tools.
‘They didn’t bother taking other larger tools which suggests to me that the thieves were local,’ says Richard Kemmis Betty, who adds there was also a break-in at the next door house with a forced entry to the outbuildings.
The police have been informed of the theft and Mr Kemmis Betty is asking for anyone with information to contact him on 07748 846919.
