A groups of local animal lovers have teamed together to organise a Table Top sale to raise money for different charities.

Money from the sale, which will take place at the Methodist Church Hall in Gillingham’s High Street on Saturday 19 October, will go to a total of seven animal charities in all.

They are: RSPCA West Hatch, Sam’s Cats, Labrador Rescue, Animals Asia (Bears), Donkey Sanctuary (Sidmouth),
Donkey & Shetlands Last Home and Cyprus Cats.

Each charity will have its own table at the event, which will take place from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

One of the organisers, Val Flower: ‘There is so much cruelty to animals around. All of us involved like animals and we’re just trying to do our bit.’

Though the group of organisers has not set a target for how much they want to raise, Val says it would be ‘great’ if they they can raise £50 per charity from the event.

Refreshments will be available.
