A sell-out Late Summer Cream Tea Party was hosted by the North Dorset Liberal Democrats on  Saturday 31 August in Marnhull.

NDLD Spokesperson Ros Eveleigh said, ‘The organisers were hoping to see between thirty and forty guests come to enjoy the tea, cakes and scones with a side of political conversation. However, more than fifty people turned up. We were constantly washing cups and plates to keep up with the demand.

‘Obviously the glorious weather had something to do with the high attendance rate, but the current ‘olitical shenanigans in Westminster has awakened the innate decency of the British public. More and more people are standing up to be counted and are joining us in their droves.’

Having hosted a tea party, their next event is a get together over coffee at the Crown, Marnhull next Wednesday 11th September, from 10.30am. Everyone invited!
