Police volunteer John Hancock has been nominated for for the 2019 Regional Police Support Volunteer of the Year Award in recognition of the ongoing support he gives to the community of Mere.

John works as a volunteer at the police drop-in information point, and to sign persons up for the Wiltshire Police Community Messaging service, at the the town’s Angel Tea Rooms, on Saturday mornings between 10am and midday.
