The Citizens Advice team members in Gillingham have this week celebrated the 80th birthday of one of their volunteers.

Jenny McCallum, second from left in the photograph, has been working for the organisation for the past six years and is still going strong.

‘I find it very rewarding work,’ says Jenny, a former head teacher, who is described by colleagues as a ‘fantastic member of the team’.

Jenny was handed a special cake by the team and by Gillingham mayor Su Hunt.

Councillor Hunt also handed certificates to three newly-qualified advisers, Sheelagh Brown, Carol Fenton and Ros Wheare.

The North Dorset branch of Citizens Advice say they are always looking for new volunteers.
