Wiltshire Police are appealing for information after two thefts from vehicles parked at a beauty spot near Shaftesbury.

The break-ins happened between 2pm and 2.10pm on Saturday 10 March 2018 in the car park at Win Green National Trust site, off Donhead Hollow.

Two vehicles had their windows smashed, and bags stolen from inside, and one of the vehicles also had a tyre slashed.

PC Tom Carver, from Wiltshire West Community Policing Team, said there was a suspicion that the offender had seen the owners walk away from their cars, as the thefts are believed to have occurred within ten minutes of them parking up.

He said: ‘We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or who may have noticed anything suspicious around this time in the area of Win Green.

‘Any information you have could really help our investigation.

‘We would ask users of Win Green car park, along with other beauty spot car parks in the area, to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity immediately.

‘Please could car owners also ensure that no valuables are left inside their vehicles when they are left unattended.’

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Carver on 101, or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
