Local firm Blackmore Vale Leisure has been voted the number one dealer in the UK for customer satisfaction when it comes to new caravans.

Not only did Blackmore Vale Leisure win, they also leap frogged past winners and contenders to record the highest satisfaction percentage ever seen in this nationwide competition run by Practical Caravan Magazine and The Camping and Caravanning Club.

An incredible 97.2 percent of those who voted confirmed they would happily purchase again from the family business, which is based on the A 30 between Shaftesbury and East Stour. Blackmore Vale Leisure also came a very close second for the pre-owned Customer Satisfaction Award too.

The company now has double gold status for customer satisfaction thanks to their customers. One hundred percent of Blackmore Vale Leisure’s customers that took part would buy from then again.
The company’s director Paul Hopkins said: ‘As a family owned company with 50 years experience in selling caravans, we were absolutely over the moon that our customers voted for us to receive this reward.  I am very proud of the contribution made by every single member of the team here at Blackmore Vale Leisure.’

Catherine McCrystal, who has been with the company five years, added: ‘Customer service is something which we pride ourselves on, ensuring that our customers are looked after for the whole sales journey including after sales care.  The whole team contribute to making this business customer focussed with a personal service which is valued by our customers and makes us stand out from the crowd.’

Typical comments from Blackmore Vale’s customers include: ‘Thank you for your amazing customer service when we purchased our caravan,’ ‘The service we received has been second to none’ and ‘I received the best customer service any one could wish for’.
The results of the Practical Caravan Magazine and The Camping and Caravanning Club awards were announced last month in Manchester with television presenter Julia Bradbury presenting the awards.
Paul Hopkins, Catherine McCrystal and Pete Coates from the company all attended the event and were personally presented with the award.

‘Try before you buy’

This year the company will be hosting ‘Try Before You Buy’ weekends. Potential customers can bring family or friends to stay in a caravan which will be all set up ready for them. Blackmore Vale Leisure will provide some light entertainment and supper as well an opportunity to learn a little about the world of caravanning. The customers can also take part in a towing session with a qualified tow instructor and then relax and enjoy the local surroundings or take a day out in beautiful Dorset before packing up and heading home.
