Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team have warned people to be on their guard after an attempt was made to snatch a dog from a farm in North Dorset.

A police spokesperson said on Facebook: ‘We have received a report of an attempt theft of a dog at a farm in North Dorset. This occurred on 25/06/2020 at 09:30.

‘A male was seen to run off upon being seen near the occupant’s dogs.

‘The male ran off to a possible black 4×4 before leaving.’

The spokesperson added: ‘Please review your security around kennels and gardens should you keep your dog there. Should you want crime prevention advice please email the rural crime team at [email protected]police.uk.’
