Two men have been arrested following an aggravated burglary that took place on Sunday 2 June 2019 at an address on Jay Walk in Gillingham. A 32-year-old man sustained what police called ‘non-life threatening injuries’ during that incident in which it was reported that one of the offenders may have had a firearm – though no shots were fired.
A full investigation was launched, led by detectives from Weymouth CID.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: ‘On Monday 8 July 2019 a 30-year-old local man and a 31-year-old man from Salisbury in Wiltshire were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and are both assisting officers with enquiries.’
UPDATE WEDNESDAY 10 JULY: The two men were released on police bail pending further enquiries.
