If you want to taste some local Dorset food and drink, then The Spirit of Christmas fair at RiversMeet is the place to do it.
There are stalls selling savoury food, cake and gin – and lot’s more.
In the marquee, as well as great music, the bar will be serving:
** 8 draught ales from Piddle:
Winters Tale: 5.0%; classic winter dark ale. Full bodied, fruity and rich.
Piddle: 4.1%; premium amber ale. Easy drinking beer with a citrus twist.
Dorset Rogue: 3.9%; Dark traditional best bitter, big flavour for a little beer.
Cock: 4.3%; Transatlantic IPA, brimming with hops from both sides of the pond.
Captain Swing: 4.5%; Ruby red bitter, mild in flavour with a little hop kick at the end.
Sittin’ Cow: 3.5%; Session pale ale. Packed with plenty of English hops.
Coal Porter: 4.5%; Creamy rich porter with hints of chocolate.
Bent Copper: 4.8% ; Strong but drinkable extra special copper beer, rich and aromatic.
1 Draught Piddle IPA Pilsner – Breakin’ Wave 4.5%; Full flavoured traditional pilsner lager with a great hop aroma.
1 Draught Piddle Cider – Ciddle Middle 4.5%; Sparkling cider made from a wide variety of apples
** 8 Draught Ales from Keystone
Bedrock Bitter: 3.6%; A light beer with a balance of light malts and fresh fruity choppiness. This beer has subtle
sweet citrus flavours from the late Goldings hops.
CPA: 4.6%; Light in colour with subtle malt flavours and medium bitterness. Leading to crisp hop flavours and aromas from Goldings and Bodecea Hops.
Large One: 4.2%; A best bitter with a distinct malty flavour and a delicate addition of bittering hops with hints of fruit and spice in the aftertaste.
SPA: 3.5%; Very pale, a bit bitter with a hoppy nose
Gold Hill: 4%; Wonderfully golden in colour and full of citrus and floral aromas. Hoppier than Gold Standard with the addition of English Cascade hops.
Warminster Warrior: 4.5%; Reddish brown ale traditional beer
Gold Spice: 4%; Gold and Silver Award Winning! Gold-coloured beer with plenty of late Boadicea hops. Stem ginger is then added to the cask for a delicious ZING of fresh ginger
Golden Apostle: 4.8%; Golden premium ale
Also being served in the Marquee Bar are 8 boxed flavoured Sheppey’s Ciders, 12 flavours of gin, six white wines, four red wines and soft drinks.
As well as drink, there will also be lots of great food to enjoy. White Star Catering will be cooking up pizzas, chunky steak chilli burgers, loaded burgers, venison burgers, bacon and sausage baps, loaded nachos, loaded fries, gourmet chips, Bangkok Bad boy (vegan burger) plus lots of vegan as well as veggie and gluten-free options.
