Gillingham Mayor Barry Von Clemens visited St Martins Grange care home to help resident Molly Wisdom celebrate a very special birthday.

Molly, who turned 100, was joined by her family for the special occasion, while staff organised a party with London-themed songs to celebrate her heritage.
Originally from Bermondsey, London, Maud ‘Molly’ Wisdom was a chorus girl at the Windmill Theatre, where she met her husband. Her husband was in the Navy, meaning the family moved around the country.
Molly’s son, Barry, 79, said she loves meeting people and described her as being “full of life” and having a “wicked sense of humour”. He added she loved anything to do with music, her favourite singer being Bing Crosby.
Councillor Von Clemens visited St Martins Grange care home, in Fern Brook Lane, on Molly’s birthday to give her a bouquet of flowers and wish her well.
