Police officers investigating the theft of a car from Shaftesbury are issuing an image of the vehicle and asking for witnesses to come forward.

At around 4pm on Wednesday 19 June 2019 a Peugeot 206 with the registration LG56 CNY was stolen from the Westminster Memorial Hospital on Abbey Walk.

Inspector Simon Perry, of North Dorset police, said: ‘We have been carrying out enquiries in relation to this theft and we are now in a position to issue an image of the vehicle.

‘It is possible this vehicle could be in the Gillingham area of Dorset, Mere or Wincanton and could now be altered or on false plates.

‘I would ask anyone who has seen this vehicle or knows of its whereabouts to please contact Dorset Police.’
