Residents in Shaftesbury have just ten more days to have their say about the town’s long-awaited Neighbourhood Plan.

Consultation on the plan began on 1 August and will end on Thursday 26 September.

Local people are being invited by the town council to fill in a questionnaire online at https://www.shaftesburyplan.co.uk, or pick up a hard copy from the town hall, library or arts centre.

There is also a ‘pop-up shop’ on the Neighbourhood Plan at 37 High Street which will be open on Friday 20 September, Saturday 21 September, Monday 23 September and Thursday 26 September, from 10am to 4pm. Copies of the questionnaire are available there, as is a copy of the plan.

‘To date over 500 members of the Shaftesbury community have visited the pop-up-shop, 37 High Street and information leaflets have been delivered to over 4,000 households across Shaftesbury,’ said Shaftesbury town clerk Claire Commons.

Of the pop-up-shop she said: ‘This is your opportunity to come and see the plan, talk to the team, fill out the questionnaire and give us your feedback between.’
