A man from Warminster has died following a road traffic collision this morning.

The collision occurred on the A36 just north of Chapmanslade near to Black Dog Woods this morning (11 September) shortly before 7am.

A silver Vauxhall Omega, a grey Seat Leon and a third unknown vehicle believed to be a lorry were involved in the collision. As a result, the driver of the Omega – a 52-year-old man – died at the scene.

In a statement, Wiltshire Police said their thoughts were with his family ‘at this difficult time’.

The road was closed for a full collision investigation to take place. It reopened shortly after midday.
