UPDATE:

Salisbury District Hospital’s switchboard, 01722 336262, is now working as normal, says the hospital ‘thanks to the hard work of our Facilities, Estates and IT teams to fix the fault. The hospital would like to thank the public for their patience today when contacting the hospital.’

There are still a small number of direct dial phone numbers that do not work. ‘We are working with BT to have these fixed by the end of tomorrow, 11 September,’ it says.

The hospital says  is sorry for any inconvenience today’s switchboard issues have caused to the public but would like to thank  staff, suppliers and partners in the community for their support. Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust will be conducting a full review, as is common practice for any incidents.

Ends update

The main switchboard at Salisbury District Hospital is not currently receiving external calls,. the hospital said on Tuesday morning. A spokesperson said the hospital is working hard with suppliers to urgently resolve the issue.

Some of the hospital’s direct dial numbers are unaffected. However, mobile phones have been deployed to key clinical areas.  Alternative numbers for key departments have been provided to for the public (only) to leave messages.
